This event is part of a series of sustainability education workshops hosted by the City of South Perth.
The Forever Project’s Food Theatre program is very popular as it brings together a celebrity chef and a celebrity gardener for a ‘paddock to plate’ conversational performance, exploring the foundation theme that ‘food is only as good as the soil it is grown in’.
Through the medium of food we explore the importance of plant nutrition for human health and wellbeing. This is all delivered against the ‘backdrop’ of the City’s impoverished soils and provides ‘how to’ recipes to fix this condition for food growing in their own back yard!
Participants will get up close and personal with the chef, learning how to prepare Kefir, Kimchi, vinegars, stock, and will take home their own bottled vegetables.
During this session topics such as growing, preserving, reusing will be discussed as ways to reduce household green waste.
The evening will end by participants sitting down to a delicious plate of paella and a fruit dessert to end the night!
